Scrapbook Sunday

Today has been so summery and gorgeous. I've been painting little monsters and making a maquette for the Momiji Couture Contest. Lots of work to be done on this but it's a start!!

Here's a bleached, light filled page from my scrapbook to go with the day...

Scrapbook Sunday

Another Sunday, another scrapbook page. I love the Alexander Girard wooden figures. Urban Outfitters in the US have a new Girard homeware range, I wonder if they'll make it over to the UK...

Scrapbook Sunday

A bit of a dramatic, flowers-and-hot-pink-and-black theme to today's scrapbook pages...

Scrapbook Sunday

Sunday evening again, and I've had a weekend full of lots of making - a union jack cushion for my sister, a new Penguin painting for our flat, some clothes peg dolls for a craft sale, some illustrations for a friend... photos of all those to come but for now here are a couple of scrapbook pages!

In fact, without knowing it, these pictures are quite representative of the things I've been making - the Penguin cups at the bottom (which crop up everywhere) and the blossom tree mural at the top (the illustrations I've been doing have blossom trees with chinese lanterns hanging from them). That seems to tie everything up nicely!

Scrapbook Monday

I've just come home from a long weekend in Cornwall with my family, and now today (Monday) feels like a Sunday, so here are a couple of spreads from my scrapbook (coincidentally both a bit holiday-themed)!

Scrapbook Sunday

Here are a couple of scrapbook pages which feel really summery to me - lots of dusky colours, and white sun-bleached light. Unfortunately summer in London looks and feels a long way from these!!

Scrapbook Sunday

Wow, I can't believe it's already Sunday again. And so, here are a couple of - actually extraordinarily girly - pages from my scrapbook!

Now I'm seeing them again, I realise that I must have been subconsciously inspired by the heart hot water bottle covers (below), as I made "his and hers" hotties for my brother and his girlfriend, with slightly more unisex stars on, for Christmas last year. They live in Canada so I thought they'd come in handy...

Scrapbook Sunday

I've been keeping a scrapbook for a few years now, and although I don't stick things in as often as I should (plenty of loose tear sheets waiting at the back to be slotted in though), I really enjoy having it and flicking through it. I do think it's interesting to see how the things I pick out for it (mostly from lifestyle magazines) have changed over time, but also to see a consistent style come through. I thought I might share some pages here every now and then, for inspiration and posterity!
